Yes, anyone can be pretty and not just with the power of Photoshop. One of my favorite quotes is " There are no ugly women, just lazy ones" by Coco Chanel. This could not be more accurate. So Stop It. Don't be Lazy.
Beauty isn't always achieved by simply being born. It must be worked at, and yes, it sucks. And no you do not need to be 5'9 with an eating disorder. This is a misconception we women have been using, and it's completely false. You can maximize your beauty regardless of height, bone structure, or weight. The only person who is standing in the way of you being beautiful is you. So lets change that! In this blog I'm going to begin breaking down some of the things you can do to do to start amplifying your own natural beauty. Because why shouldn't you?

The only person who is standing in the way of you being beautiful is you. So lets change that! In this blog I'm going to begin breaking down some of the things you can do to do to start amplifying your own natural beauty. Because why shouldn't you?
Understanding The Basics:
Let's look in the mirror. This is a big step, but not an end all if you are out of proportions so don't come unglued just yet.
Beginning with the Face. How symmetrical is it? What don't you like?
If you are unsure what a symmetrical face is or do not know how to check this I recommend going to http://www.anaface.com/ and uploading a photo of yourself. This exercise is not to discourage you but rather pin point specific features that you feel are hindering your beauty so that together we can alter them. Now that we have analyzed our faces let's talk about some quick fixes!
Makeup. Probably the easiest and quickest solution to achieving facial symmetry magnificence.
Start by contouring your face to achieve accentuated cheeks, smaller nose, and larger eyes. You can find many photos of how to's on networks such as Pinterest and Youtube. Here is a link http://www.pinterest.com/pin/281967626642751213/ to my favorite tutorials and makeup styles. If you have questions about what makeup to use, it depends on budget. I have tested many brands and Chanel or Mac have great foundation. I will go into makeup in a later post but there is a reason they call it foundation. It's the basis for all other makeup and it needs to be quality. Your mission with foundation should be to make your skin look like nothing is there. The more natural the application, the better you will look. So you will need to try different skin tone shades. You will also want to purchase your skin color, one shade lighter, and two shades darker for expert contouring results.
Makeup Can Be Your Best Friend... Get To Know Her!
Where is Your Body? This one is difficult as we can sometimes be too hard on ourselves or even completely checked out. But hey, let's remember Chanel's lazy comment! There may even be some of you that feel no matter what you do, you will never have the body you want. False. It's only a state of mind. Much like this photo. Beautiful figures are all about balance. Leonardo Da Vinci had it right with the Vitruvian woman. Your measurements should be relevant to your height. Wonder where you fit in on the scale? Check your weight against a BMI Calculator here
www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/BMI/bmicalc.htm If you fall in the Overweight section or even Underweight this can cause your body to look out of balance. Too large or too small of breasts can also be an issue when it comes to body balance and in some cases can even require surgery. Especially if you have made the decision already to have implants that are too large for your frame. You may want to consider a reduction. It doesn't look good or natural, and can cause some serious back issues.
You're Overweight. For Now. You can lose 1/2" on your waist a week. I've done it.
I'm also vegetarian and workout an hour everyday and keep my calories within a healthy range. Your success with your body will ultimately have to do with the choices you make everyday, not just once a week when you decide to opt for the salad. I will be posting my own personal success in my new blogs if you are interested in my program, if not consider hiring a personal trainer! Find a balance in your meals. Don't starve yourself or over eat. Both of these options are equally bad and are not sustainable. I find that keeping my carbs under 30% and no more than 20g of sugar a day (hint:theres more than that in a kitkat!) while eating lots of greens and lean proteins is the best route! Now vegan and vegetarian is not the easiest leap but worth it for multiple reasons, but do your own digging! In the meantime, find a healthy diet that works for you, one that you think you could keep up for several years. So no liquid diets or pills! They will only work temporarily and can do massive damage to your organs..yikes. Instead, workout once a day for six days, then take a break for one. Alternate cardio and weight training.. yes, weight training. It isn't just for the boys. It can help boost your metabolism and burn that unwanted fat quickly. Don't get too carried away though, I can see your excited to get started but don't over do it and burn out! Be good to your body and you will find that you will be looking in the mirror at a very new you in less time than you might have expected. Hello rocking bikini that you are hiding in the back of your drawer.
I'm Underweight. Now I'm sure most of you won't want to read this part especially if you do fall under the category.
But you can get "skinny fat". What a fantastically messed up and totally true label. Ladies, if you are constricting your calories so much so that your body is eating away at your muscle this will make you look gross! Since your body will not have enough protein or any muscles to help keep your tummy tight your body will turn on you and most of what you eat will turn into fat. Leaving a layer of it over your stomach and thighs. Ew.
There may also be some of you out there that have the miraculous metabolism that allows you to eat whatever you want without gaining weight. I hate you first off, and most people would kill for this... literally. But, it can suck when growing up, maybe you look in the mirror and feel like an alien. Don't worry, your body will naturally work itself out. Just eat a healthy amount of calories also try eating some more protein and maybe hitting those weights! Muscle will help balance out your skinny you!

That's Not Nice..
Personality. Being the best version of yourself should be priority number when it comes to being pretty. After all, you may have a gorgeous face but an ugly personality can ruin it. Getting rid of some of the not so pretty traits that us girls seem to collect over time is the next step!
Selfishness. Yes we are fantastic creatures, but no the world does not revolve around us.
Try not to get caught up in your own world so much. Be aware for just one day of how many times you start a sentence off with the word I. Then count how many times in a day you make a demand. It may be higher than you think.People will love and give to you more if you are nice and don't demand from them. Sounds easier said than done. Sadly, I even still catch myself acting like a spoiled brat from time to time and have to apologize. Grounding yourself is a constant exercise but I promise it's really worth it! You will find your relationships will grow stronger and last longer by just being a little more aware of how selfish we can be and making an effort to take a step outside our own bubbles.
Faking It. We do this! Why do we this? We and everyone around us knows we are being insincere.
It does way more damage than good, honestly. I've met some women in my time that even kind of scared me when they do it. You know the ones I'm talking about. They smile at you and do the head tilt and suddenly your brain starts playing the psycho music.. Whoa intense. So, don't be that person. It's really creepy. If you are around someone you don't like be polite but don't pretend you like them. Instead try to actually get to know them, if you still don't like them, then avoid. But don't be the one to judge too quickly they might be in the same head space as you, or are like most women and are just nervous and want to be liked. Insecurity can make us so awkward sometimes. If you tried and still can't stand them, be polite, then hastily initiate evasive action! However, if you are already friends with someone and are upset so you're pretending to be nice..Stop. Talk to them about whatever is going on. You will feel much better if you open up a little. So please, no more squeaky fake nice! Seriously, no one likes it. Including men.
Lying. Well everyone does this so it's not easy or even that reasonable to say don't lie. But don't be so excessive about it. It's bad, just plain and simple. Only in some crazy and usually very rare cases like dear old grandma asking how you liked dinner. Not like you can exactly say, " No grandma, I hated it and fed most of it to the dog under the table."
Now I'm sure you are already fighting me on this one, but it's really important so let's try a quick little exercise. Close your eyes and imagine telling someone the truth of every lie you have ever told.. now what is the worst possible reaction they have?
Unless you work for the mob or some major government operation I'm sure it isn't that bad.
We don't need to lie to get what we want, the truth will you get you much further in attaining your desires. Honesty makes you more likable. Everyone wants an honest partner and friend, they are very rare and so cherished. So become one. Think before you say an impulsive lie, take a deep breath and think about it. Don't completely take my word for it though. Test it out, next time you want to lie about something, don't. See how they react, if it's positive try it again, and again.
These are just some of my thoughts. Im sure you have already started to make some big changes but know these suggestions are just friendly advice from personal experience. So I encourage everyone to share their own ideas about some possible solutions and even some of your own stories. The more information the better :)
