These Healthy Habits Are A Must Try!
Pretty Girls always seem to be in top condition.. it's because they have developed good habits. These habits are a compiled list from multiple pretty girls. They have all been tested and proven to help overall well being. So read on and give them a try...
A mantra- normally a word or sound repeated over and over again to help concentrate when meditating- is taken a step further. Instead think of something positive to say to yourself every day first thing in the morning while you look in the mirror. Your mantra can be simple or complex. But choose something that fits to your identity. Everyone is different and no one mantra is going to work for everyone. So spend some time thinking about it. Mine for example is " I am vibrant, intelligent, and a beautiful young woman." This simple saying to myself helps me kick the day off right. I began using this habit several months ago and have noticed a significant difference in the way I viewed myself. I began to find that inner confidence that can make you stand out in a crowd.
First found out how much water your body needs. I follow the weight principle. Take your body weight and divide it half. That is the number of ounces you should be drinking a day. Now that you know your number heres the benefits of making this your every day habit.
1. Promote Weight Loss- removes by-products of fat and reduces eating intake-if consumed prior to meals, reduces hunger, raises your metabolism and has zero calories!
2.Improves Skin Complexion – Moisturizes your skin, keeps it fresh, soft, glowing and smooth.
3. Increases Energy & Relieves Fatigue – Your brain is mostly water. So naturally drinking it helps you think, focus and concentrate.
4. Gorgeous Locks- cool water rinse can leave your hair glossier! Cold temps constrict the cuticle layer of your hair so it lays flat. This gives you that smooth and reflective Pantene Pro-V commercial hair.
5. Outlast Your Hangover- So we can all do some hefty damage on a weekend out with the girls. But keeping that water close by can keep you from physical pain. Your kidneys do an amazing job of cleansing and ridding your body of toxins as long as your intake of fluids is adequate.
Veggies aren't the enemy and there are lots of ways to add them into your everyday meals! Try blending them into soups, or just adding them to your favorite dish. Even if you aren't a big fan of vegetables there are dozens of different combinations you can try. All with their own jam packed beauty benefits. Even if your a workout beginner there is something for everyone. If you can only go out for a nice long walk two or three times a week thats alright. Everyone has to start somewhere. You will find in time you will be able to walk further and venture into new workout routines. For the more advanced - be consistent. Working out every day for a week and then skipping for a month isn't going to give you the benefits you would hope for. Better to workout less and be consistent. Next week for my fitness article I will be interviewing an amazing woman who is a celebrity personal trainer out in LA. So if you're looking for a routine make sure to check back!
Giving back may sound cliche or cheesy. But giving back can help fight stress ( As stated by the American Heart Association). You will find yourself feeling more fulfilled and genuinely happier. Giving back doesn't mean you have to spend every Sunday at your local soup kitchen or setting up fundraisers. It can be as simple as lending an ear to a friend in need.
Investing in yourself can increase feelings of health and wellness, which in turn improves your mood, appearance and perspective. Why not sign up for classes that help further your career or let you explore outside interests? It can even be as simple as indulging in a bouquet of fresh flowers each week.
Neurobiologist Lawrence Katz of Duke University reports that cognitive exercises called neurobics can activate new brain connections and fight the mental effects of aging. Neurobics uses your five senses in unexpected ways, which strengthens nerve connections and helps cell receivers stay younger and stronger. Make it a habit to get dressed or shower in the dark, switch what you wear on one side of your body to the other (e.g., put your watch on your opposite wrist), smell different scents every morning, or cook unfamiliar foods, such as sushi.
“Adding laughter to familiar movements, such as waving your arms, activates just about every human physiologic system, similar to traditional exercise.” Laughter burns calories, increases positive endorphins (natural painkillers), reduces stress and strengthens your immune system. A good belly laugh can also improve job satisfaction and feelings of self-worth, and help you overcome obstacles. Make it a habit to laugh every couple of hours; it could be as healthy as eating an apple a day.
These are just my favorite and personally tested healthy pretty girl habits. If you have more please share them with the rest of us!
